Hi there! I have been living in Goa for the last 30 years, exploring beaches, restaurants and a few hidden places in goa. Today, I want to show you the real South Goa, something different and not the popular beaches that the youtubers tell about

Day 1: Beautiful Hidden Beaches
Galgibaga Beach – A Turtle’s Paradise.
Start your morning at Galgibaga Beach in Canacona. This beach is a protracted site for turtle nesting .If you visit between December and February, you might find Turtles around, But be mindful do not disturb turtles .


Rajbagh Beach
Next, visit Rajbagh Beach near The Lalit beach Resort. Try a massage from the local ladies / Gents here – they’ve learned their craft from their mothers and grandmothers. Each massage tells a story of beach life passed down through generations.
Food Tip: The small beach shacks serve the most authentic Goan food you’ll find! You could grab a Goan Kings Beer too


Palolem Beach
As evening comes, move towards Palolem Beach. Watch as candles light up the beach shacks and soft music fills the air.
You could also Walk to the south end of the beach, You could click some nice pictures there.
Dinner Tip: Try the seafood thali – it’s a complete Goan meal on one plate!

Butterfly Beach
Butterfly beach is hard to reach! You can only get to the beach by boat from Palolem beach or by hiking through the forest.
If you are hiking, kindly accompany a local guy with you.
If you want to take a boat ride – you can catch it from palolem beach, which will cost you approx. Rs 2000.
If you want to take a dip in water, be cautious as the water is deep at the shore, not like usual beaches in goa.
But I bet, You will definitely like this place .


Day 2: Waterfalls and Wildlife
Dudhsagar Falls
Next day reach Mollem, to reach Dudhsagar falls you have to take a jeep safari through the jungle from kulem which would take about 45 mins to reach the waterfall.
Waterfall Is beautiful. If you are lucky you will find a train passing through . and the view of waterfall and the train is mesmerizing
Bring quick-dry clothes and keep your phone in a waterproof bag.

Netravali Wildlife Sanctuary
Wildlife Sanctuary is situated in western Ghats has lush green forest and waterfalls The Mainapi and Savari waterfalls within the sanctuary are its crowning jewels, offering stunning cascades surrounded by dense forests.
Enjoy a natural fish pedicure in the stream near Savari Waterfall.


Cola Beach
This beach has something special – a freshwater lake right next to the sea! Try kayaking here, or just find a quiet spot to watch the sunset. This is definitely an instagrammable place.


Day 3: History and Quiet Beaches
Cabo de Rama Fort
Start your day at this old Portuguese fort. Walk through its ancient walls, visit the little chapel, and enjoy the best views of the sea.
There is a hidden beach at cabo de rama fort called pebble beach, Do visit if you want to check for offbeat beaches in goa.
Next visit Cab de Rama cliff , you would definitely love it .
History Tip: Morning is the best time to visit – fewer people and better photos!


Mobor Beach
Mobor beach, Near to margao,boffers a wide range of water sports activities such as parasailing, jet skiing, and banana boat rides. This beach also boasts serene sands and clear waters, making it a great spot for photoshoots. You would see many couples doing pre marriage shoots here.


Varca Beach
Varca Beach has a long stretch of white sand and away from the crowds. Its soft sands and calm waters make it perfect for long walks. You could also find locals playing football on the beach.
